Direct Mode Programming with the Atlas Commander

To access Direct Mode programming, enter the menu by pressing both the forward and reverse buttons together.

Press the “+” or ”–“ button until the display shows “Pro”. Press  “Enter” to enter the programming menu.

Press “+” or “-“ to select a register, ex: R1.

Press “Enter”, the display will show “u  –“.

Press “Enter” again to read the register.

The display will show “uxx “. xx= the current value of the register.

After reading the contents of a register, the Commander can determine if the decoder supports Direct Mode programming.

If the decoder supports this mode, pressing the “+” button to scroll past register 8 will allow you to enter Direct CV Mode. The display will change to “c” followed by the CV number, ex: “C09”.

To access CV’s 1 through 8, use the “-“ button.

This mode of programming allows full access to all CV’s supported by your decoder. For configuration variable definitions, see your decoder manual.
