O Scale Container Road Numbers ExpandedIn January, Atlas O announced the release of 40’ and 45’ containers for the Gunderson Twin-Stack™ freight cars in eight road names as well as an undecorated version. Now, for modelers who want to fill their Gundersons with more of the same road names, additional road numbers have been added to the line. In direct response to consumer demand, Atlas O has added eight road numbers to each of the road names, giving two and three-rail O Scale model railroaders a total of ten road numbers for each container to choose from. That’s a total of 80 road numbers! Each paint scheme is now available in ten numbers. Delivery of the Gunderson Twin-Stack™ cars and containers is scheduled for May 2006. In the real world, containers hauled by tractor trailers are standardized in various sizes. These same trailers are transferred from truck to train to ships heading overseas, carrying the raw materials, goods and products that propel commerce and deliver consumer wares around the globe. These quality, prototypical, finely detailed Atlas O versions allow modelers to add interest, variety and realism to their layouts. The new containers are also available in assortments.
