Navigating the Atlas Website

Whether you are new to model railroading and Atlas products or a seasoned veteran, the Atlas Model Railroad Co. website is an extremely valuable tool in helping you get an understanding of the products and the company that makes them, and providing you with the latest information about Atlas releases and ship dates. The main page consists of several sections and provides a gateway to the different parts of the Atlas Model website. In the center are pictures of all the products that are now available at your local Atlas Dealer. On the right are the boxes that contain the newest announcements in HO & N scale and the list of newly shipped products.

The menu on the left provides the main way to navigate the web site, with additional sections accessible via the tabs located on the top of the page. One of the first sections you should view can be found by clicking on the tab marked “Beginners”. Here novices in the World’s Greatest Hobby™ can find out which scale is right for them and why Atlas products are the best fit for their needs.

The “Products” section provides access to new and old HO and N scale products manufactured by Atlas dating from 1999 to the present.

Under the “Layouts” tab are many of the Atlas-created HO & N scale layouts that you can build, as well as helpful tips and tricks that will aid in areas of track laying and wiring. You can purchase any layouts that you like from our online store, along with any of the layout books that Atlas offers to help get you started.

The “Order/Ship” page contains the estimated and actual shipping dates for all Atlas products. Each item is color coded so you can see whether orders are still being taken or if the product has shipped to their local hobby store yet. The page is updated weekly, so be sure to check back often.

If you need to find out the technical details of our products, try the “Parts” section. Here you can find diagrams in PDF format to aid in locating parts for repair or modifications you might want to make to your Atlas model.

The “Support” section is where warranty registration, notices, manuals and DCC support can be found to help ensure in the proper protection and operation of your Atlas product.

In the “Resources” section, Atlas has compiled a list of popular and useful links to model railroading related sites, along with a listing of tradeshows that Atlas will be attending and showing off the hottest products around.

In addition to manufacturing the best track available, Atlas also provides a layout program free of charge to assist you in the creation of your layout in N, HO or O scale. You can find this stellar Right Track Freeware Version 7.0 in the “RTS Download” section.

To find out what our customers are saying about our products, try going to the Atlas Forum, located under the “Forum” tab. Here, people from all scales come to talk about Atlas track, locos, freights and more, and share hints and tips about model railroading.
