O Starter Guide Updated

The Atlas O "Starter Guide To The 21st Century Track® System – 2-Rail and 3-Rail Track" is a brochure that introduces the most realistic and versatile track system ever offered for O scale trains. To aid everyone in understanding the potential of the system and its many features, the brochure is divided into five quick and easy-to-read sections:

1. An introduction to the general ideas, track pieces and information available

2. A quick treatment of the basic information tools that have been created to help you plan, design and build your own layout

3. Some of the most frequently asked and answered questions about the track that have appeared on the Atlas O website (www.atlasO.com)

4. Graphic illustrations and specifications of all the layouts found in the book, “Thirty-Three 3-Rail Layouts” (Item #6007)

5. A complete list of available track pieces & track accessories.

Atlas O initially published the O Starter Guide in 2003, and this is the first time it has been updated. In another “first”, the December 2005 release of the O Starter Guide now includes 2-Rail Layouts. This is the most significant change in the latest version.

“We updated the O Starter Guide to better reflect the current product line and provide additional useful information to consumers,” said Jim Weaver, head of Atlas O Scale Product Development. This 44-page brochure highlights track features, and includes descriptions of each line of Atlas O track, basic ideas, helpful tips and guidance, layout tools, accessories, books and catalogs, and a product listing.

Atlas is running a special promotion in the January 2006 issue of O Gauge Railroading magazine, featuring the new O Starter Guide. The promotion offers a FREE O Starter Guide to the 21st Century Track® System along with significant discounts on Atlas O Books and Catalogs.
